Advisory Council

The CPD Advisory Council is the consulting body whose mission is to provide recommendations and assist in setting the goals and directions of the organisation’s activities.

The CPD Advisory Council is chaired by Michał KAMIŃSKI – Deputy Marshal of the Senate of the Republic of Poland; Member of the Sejm of the Republic of Poland (1997-2004; 2015-2019); Member of the European Parliament (2004-2007; 2009-2014); Secretary of State for Media Relations at the Chancellery of the President of Poland (2007-2009); Secretary of State at the Chancellery of the Prime Minister of Poland (2015).

Oleksii POLEGKYI is a Research Fellow at the Canadian Institute of Ukrainian Studies, University of Alberta, Canada and Member of Political Communication Research Unit at the University of Antwerp, Belgium. He received an MA in Philosophy from the T. Shevchenko National University of Kyiv, Ukraine and earned a PhD in Political Sciences from the University of Wroclaw, Poland and the University of Antwerp, Belgium. He was a Research Fellow at the Graduate Institute of Russian Studies, National Chengchi University, Taiwan and Visiting Fellow at the Institute of Advanced Studies Kőszeg (iASK), Hungary.

Andrii SHCHEKUN is a Ukrainian journalist, civic activist, publisher, Editor-in-Chief of the Newspaper “Krymska Svitlytsya”, Director of the Information Centre “Voice of Crimea”. Coordinator of the Public Movement “Euromaidan-Crimea” (2013-2014) and of the Public Union “Coordination Council of Organizations of Immigrants from Crimea” (since 2014).
