In 2014 the Ukrainian Crimea was illegally annexed by Russia. The armed forces of the Russian Federation invaded the Ukrainian Donbas, and the armed conflict that is still taking place began. According to the UN, up to 13 thousand people have been killed since the beginning of the war in Eastern Ukraine in 2014. Up to 30 thousand persons have been injured in hostilities. According to the statement of the  Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine made in 2017, almost 1 million 800 thousand people have been internally displaced since the beginning of Russia’s military aggression against Ukraine.

Team of the Center for Public Diplomacy will work on the issues related to de-occupation and reintegration of Crimea and Donbas. Crimea and Donbas are Ukraine.
